1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons lemon zest
1 teaspoon orange zest
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1 (2.8 fluid ounce) jigger vodka
2 1/2 cups distilled white vinegar
2 onions, chopped
salt and pepper to taste
1 lemon wedge, garnish
In a large saucepan heat water, lemon zest, orange zest, lemon zest, and lemon zest. Stirring continually until juice of lime zest is stirred into mixture. Bring to a boil, pressing against lemon zest (preserving liqueur). Cook, stirring, stirring, until thickened. Reduce heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes.
In a large glass over ice, whisk together vodka, vinegar, onions and salt and pepper. Return mixture to saucepan. Stir into azale soup.
Gather together lemon wedge, lemon peel and lemon slices. Gently pour into saucepan.
Bring to a boil, stirring to keep mixture warm. Boil 1 minute. Stir in lemon wedge garnish with lemon slices. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly, for 1 minute.
