2 (1.5 ounce) squares unsweetened, triple layer baking chips
1 cup white sugar
3 eggs
1 tablespoon margarine, melted
2 tablespoons unflavored gelatin
4 teaspoons cornstarch
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
In a medium bowl, combine the unsweetened apples, sugar, eggs and margarine. Transfer mixture to a cookie sheet and sprinkle with gelatin.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes in the preheated oven. Remove from baking sheet to cool on wire racks.
Meanwhile, in a large bowl, beat together the cornstarch and 1/8 teaspoon of margarine until smooth and creamy. Remove mixture from processor bowl and stir through gelatin and apple mixture into sake. Blend in cornstarch mixture until smooth before serving.
made these for the blog and they turned out perfect......nice and sweet. I put the brown sugar in the bottom first and you can definitely taste the baking powder and salt....nice and salty. I didn't have to bake quite as long, only requiring 8 min. I put the cinnamon sticks in the middle first and after turning them 15 minutes, started to see the beauty in them. I baked my cookies for 12 minutes and the chocolate chips completely melted away! A wonderful treat to have for Christmas morning!
