1/2 cup butter, softened

2 (1 ounce) squares semi-sweet chocolate

1 cup white sugar

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, eggs, chocolate, flour, and sugar until smooth. Beat in the baking soda and vanilla. Combine the milk, 1 teaspoon of pecans and 1/2 cup sugar; stir into the creamed mixture. Gradually blend into the creamed mixture.
Pour batter into the baking pie crust. Bake in the preheated oven for 36 to 48 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the pie comes out clean. Allow to cool.
