3 potatoes, peeled and cubed
1 lb ground beef
1 onion, chopped
4 stalks celery, chopped
3/4 cup minced garlic
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 bay leaf
2 teaspoons white sugar
1 quart water
3 tablespoons hot water
Place potatoes with seasoning packet in slow cooker. Add ground beef, onion, celery, garlic, brown sugar, salt and bay leaf. Cover, and reduce to low.
Drain the water into a large pot and add the soup and brown sugar. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to medium-low, and cook for about 2 1/2 hours. Stir occasionally. Continue cooking 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Stir seasoning packet and bay leaf into soup, stirring occasionally.
Return pot to a low heat, add water, and continue cooking 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Stir seasoning packet and bay leaf into soup, stirring occasionally. Continue cooking 2 to 3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with sugar and hot water. Add steak and pork. Cover, and continue cooking for 1 1 to 2 hours.
