1 cup butter, softened
1 1/4 cups white sugar
1 egg
1 cup milk
3 1/2 cups rolled oats
3 1/2 cups chopped walnuts
4 tablespoons butter
3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon orange zest
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups rolled oats
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease cookie sheets or line with paper muffin liners.
In a medium bowl, cream together the butter, sugar and egg until smooth. Beat in milk, then mix in rolled oats, walnuts and chocolate chips. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto the cookie sheet.
Bake for 12 to 14 minutes in the preheated oven, until edges are lightly browned. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 2 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
