1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
4 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)
salt and pepper to taste
3 tablespoons frozen sour cream
3 tablespoons frozen mint leaves
1 cup unseasoned dry bread crumbs
1/4 cup maida-flavored instant dry bread crumbs
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, room temperature
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, stir 1/4 cup milk, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and nutmeg. Transfer mixture to the baking dish and stir in 3 tablespoons milk, 1/2 cup lemon juice, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix 3 tablespoons milk mixture into cream cheese mixture.
Pour mixture into baking dish. Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until set. Cool completely before removing from pan.
Wrap with foil and use to prepare foie gras as well as pastries.
