Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1 onion, grated

1/2 cup ketchup

1 1/2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 (7 ounce) can tomato juice concentrate

1 (16 ounce) can tomato paste

1 (15 ounce) can sliced mushrooms

1 cup chopped green onions

1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

1 (8 ounce) can tomato paste

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

In a large resealable plastic bag, mix beef, onion, ketchup, brown sugar, tomato juice concentrate, tomato paste and mushrooms. Seal bag and shake until all ingredients are coated.

Place beef mixture in a steamer over high heat. Transfer meat mixture to a separate plastic bag and shake vigorously, adding more water if necessary so the meat mixture doesn't stick to the resealable plastic bag.

Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, until tender at the edges.

While meat is cooking, combine the tomato paste and tomato paste into a small mixing bowl. Mix together tomato paste, tomato paste with mushrooms, tomato paste with tomato paste, tomato paste with mushrooms, tomato paste with tomatoes and tomato paste with tomatoes. Transfer to a separate plastic bag and shake vigorously until mixture is coated. Transfer tomato paste mixture and vegetable meat mixture to a second plastic bag, shake vigorously until some of the meat is coated and particles on top are no larger than pencil-size. Place hot dog sandwich in bag with vegetable mixture; place back in bag by twisting sides.
