Tomato Sauce II Recipe

Ingredients

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

2 tablespoons dried basil

6 (16 ounce) cans tomato puree

3 tablespoons dried Italian-style olives

Directions

In a medium saucepan, mix Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, basil, and tomato puree. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until mixture thickens.

Return pan to heat, and stir in tomato puree, Italian-style olives, and peaches. Stirring frequently to prevent sticking.

Pour mixture into saucepan and reduce heat. Simmer while stirring.

I made this for my family (children included) along with a sweet dish for the children, all gathered around the table. While these were all eating, my husband went through his drawers looking for anything he might have thrown in. Needless to say, his collection is not without it's flaws. On the positive side, he threw away the box of tissues with the meat, veggies, and beans. On the negative side of things, the cooking time and amount of liquid were just right.
