1 cup butter, softened
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup honey
1/2 teaspoon orange extract
1 cup orange juice
1 teaspoon lemon extract
2 teaspoons lemon zest
2 teaspoons lemon juice
3 cups honey roasted almonds
1 cup chopped walnuts
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour 2 (3 ounce) loaf pans.
Melt butter and sugar in a medium skillet over medium heat. Stir in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract and honey until blended. Beat in the orange extract and orange juice. Combine the lemon extract and lemon zest; mix well. Set aside.
To make the honey syrup, stir together honey, orange extract, orange juice, lemon extract, orange zest, lemon juice, brown sugar, almonds, and walnuts in a small bowl. Pour the syrup into the prepared pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 12 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean. Cool bread while you make the glaze.
