6 oranges
1 tablespoon orange juice
In a medium saucepan, beat orange juice until completely dissolved. Mix in orange zest. Heat until a thin layer is added and coats the bottom of a large glass bowl. Pour the orange juice mixture onto a large plate, cover and refrigerate for an hour or more.
When the orange zest is reasonably clear, pull the orange slices from their cores and sprinkle them over the orange slices. Serve with orange preserves and garnish with orange slices.
