Whole Wheat Special Frosting Recipe

Ingredients

1 quart milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 1/2 tablespoons almond extract

1/2 teaspoon almond extract

1 (22 ounce) can sliced almonds

1/2 cup chopped Swiss chard

1 tablespoon chopped green onions

salt to taste

ground black pepper to taste

Directions

Combine milk, vanilla, almond extract and almond extract in a small bowl. Stir thoroughly. Chill prepared frosting.

Beat eggs into vanilla. Beat mixture until frothy. Stir flour out into simmering milk. Gradually mix into milk mixture. Dissolve salt in milk mixture so that flavors may be mixed. Gradually whip egg yolks into milk mixture. Gradually pour through sieve into small and medium bowl. Divide icing into 2 portions. Spoon half of glaze on top and drizzle with 1/2 cup vanilla sauce. Remove 1 cake from top and spoon remaining 0.5 cup glaze on top.
