1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 cup margarine
1/2 cup white sugar
1 egg, lightly beaten
2 tablespoons milk
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/8 cup nonfat milk chocolate syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
In a medium bowl, cream together the butter, orange slivered dessert sugar and margarine until smooth. Beat in the sugar and egg until well blended, then mix in the milk and 1 cup butter. Combine the milk mixture, butter mixture and vanilla extract; stir into the creamed mixture. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheet.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
