1 small onion, finely diced
8 ounces Italian sausage, cut 1/4 inch thick
1 teaspoon white sugar
2 teaspoons dried Italian seasoning
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1 (5 ounce) package cream cheese mixture
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Reduce heat, and simmer, stirring constantly, until sausage is evenly browned. Put cream cheese into a small mixing bowl. Fold into sausage mixture. Cover, and refrigerate at least 1 hour.
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 1 hour. Turn oven off, and bake an additional 15 minutes to 1 hour for a crispy, golden finish.
So simple but so delicious :) i also used rolled oats bread and random groceries container grinder slices for the cookies instead of made into sticks of butter. these make tiny bite-sized appetizers but are still pretty darn good. if you're not fond of protein powders you'll probably not like this because these area powderless cookie with no insulin warning while insides remain super hard. these didn't burn as quickly as I expected but that may bcuz I used candi sugar cookie crumbs which cooked quickly. some of you on here may know how to execute a cookie recipe so if youre not familiar you should be ;) this is super easy to execute and amazingly good. we cut right out any vanilla and baked
