2 1/2 pounds skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
1/2 cup water
1 cup honey
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 (6 ounce) can sliced pecans or cherries, drained
In a medium saucepan, place chicken and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes.
To the chicken add honey, oil, mustard, basil, oregano, pepper, salt and butter.
Stir chicken into the saucepan with the remaining honey, olive oil, flour, pecans and cherries. Remove from heat and allow to cool completely.
