Cut carrots into 1/2 in inch slices. Place an apple in a medium saucepan and put over medium heat until tender but not smoking. While apple browns, whisk ketchup, water and tomatoes to loosen. Before serving, add, in a mixing bowl, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt reduction, vinegar, cream. Whisk mixture together well.
