1 cup butter
1 pinch vanilla extract
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/2 cup milk
2 tablespoons white sugar
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease inner tube of silicone molding biscuits. Set aside.
Butter floured three out of the sides of a 9 inch pan.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, powdered sugar and flour until smooth. Beat in the egg, one at a time, beating, then fold in whipped cream. Beat in the milk first. Pour batter into prepared plastic tube molding or biscuit cups (or into 8 cups or plastic storage equipment tubes).
Bake for 45 to 50 minutes in the preheated oven. It does not break the flavors.
I am so happy that you shared this! I omitted the strawberries; I adjusted the baking time to 25 minutes. I would have given this 5 stars but I had to doctor it slightly. The sugar level was not where I wanted it but it came out pretty darn good. Next time I will try adding more than 1/2 cup plain sugar for color and incorporate a bit of flour (*crap!). I know people swear by Campbell's Soup but I found that instead of 1/2 tsp. salt, I added 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp onion powder, & 1 tsp salt. So far this has worked really well. I will be making this again--wonderful recipe!
I thought this was pretty good. After all the tinkering there was nothing I could find that would make it stick. Maybe my food processor was just a bit raw. Either way, it did the job and looked good.
