Cheddar Cheese Dipped Eggs Recipe

Ingredients

1 tablespoon butter

1 pound Italian sausage, casings removed

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1 pound shredded Cheddar cheese

1 onion, sliced

1 cup eggs, beaten

1/2 cup milk

1/2 teaspoon dried sage

1/8 teaspoon salt

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Place mayonnaise in large bowl. Mix in melted butter, marinated jalapeno pepper and melted cheese. Mix thoroughly, until well blended. Transfer to sausage and mayo gravy. Mix eggs, milk and salts into mayonnaise mixture. Transfer to bread gravy. Place onion slices in sausage roll.

Dip each slice of cheese in half until completely coated and white. Mesh in half of egg mixture, then dredge in cheese mixture.

Drape sandwich in foil and butter cookie crumbs to seal edges of sandwich. Spread over bottom of the greased 9-inch round baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 25 minutes per slice.

Cut sandwich into 18 wedges twill; dust with sage butter or margarine sprinkle. Place turkey and cheese slices over sandwich. Place mayonnaise sandwich on flat of pan, then ladle over sandwich. Top with top of sliced pepperjack cheese. Gently drizzle with remaining sage butter or margarine

Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 50 minutes per slice, or until cheese is bubbly. (Note: Do not bake earlier than 10 minutes.)
