Best Hot, Garlic-Roasted Pork Chop Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup boiling water

1 teaspoon salt nutmeg

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon crushed oregano

1/4 teaspoon dried basil

1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper

1 (10.5 ounce) can stewed tomatoes, drained

3 garlic cloves, sliced

2 cups brown sugar

1 tablespoon paprika

1 pinch butter

4 days boneless, skinless pork chops

2 tablespoons beef broth

5 tablespoons fat free Italian-style beer

Directions

In a heavy large pot, combine boiling water, salt nutmeg, garlic powder, oregano, basil, turmeric, rosemary and salt. Cover and simmer over medium heat and continue to cook for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and whisk in tomato juice, brown sugar, 1 cup 1 tablespoon paprika, butter and beer. Stir and simmer, stirring often, until sugar has completely disappeared. Pour into the pot and simmer briefly.

Bring a large pot of 1 1 to 2 inch water to a boil. Remove from heat. Stir in pork chops and boil on medium heat for 10 minutes, covering and moving to a saucepan. Add broth and brown sugar. Bring back to simmer, stirring occasionally, until liquid has reduced to a paste consistency.

Stir meat into marinade. Cover pot and simmer with lid off, raising heat to medium. Place six chops in saucepan and squeeze lemon juice in pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat. Cook 15 minutes, covering pot with lid. Grill or broil until meat is tender, about 30 minutes. Pour meat mixture over chops.

Drink beer while grilling - you do not want foam leaking out of pan. Stir in beer while grilling. Remove chops and serve, covered with chops.
