Charlie's Chili Recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 pounds ground beef

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

2 teaspoons dried chili flakes

1 teaspoon dried basil

1 teaspoon dried oregano

2 teaspoons dried Italian-style seasoning

2 teaspoons dried oregano seeds

12 green onions, thinly sliced

3 pounds Swiss cheese

1 (3 ounce) can tomato paste

1 (1 ounce) package chili seasoning mixture

1 teaspoon dried basil

1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce

1 cup milk

1 (11 ounce) can tomato soup

1 teaspoon chili powder

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon dried parsley

ground black pepper to taste

1/2 green bell pepper, cut into 1/2 inch pieces

1 teaspoon chili sauce

1 cup vegetable oil

Directions

CUT beef into 1/2 inch cubes. Heat 1 tablespoon of this mixture in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic powder, chili flakes, basil, oregano, Italian-style seasoning, oregano seeds, green onions, Swiss cheese, tomato paste, chili seasoning mixture, basil, hot pepper sauce and milk. Stirring constantly, cook and stir until heated through.

DEDE COLD beef cubes and sausage cubes into browned beef cubes. Place cubed meat into a large stock pot and heat. Pour chili sauce over meat. Stir occasionally until meat is evenly browned. Stuff meat with browned cubes of beef. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat, pour over meat and stir with a spoon until evenly brown. Heat through.
