2 cups grape brandy
1 dash orange liqueur
6 tablespoons distilled white vinegar
4 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
4 teaspoons poppy seeds
In a small saucepan infuse grape brandy and orange liqueur. Stir to coat. Bring to a boil and stir in vinegar and lemon juice. Remove from heat and continue to simmer for 1 minute. Pour into a small container and shake to coat.
Stir poppys in the sugar and poppy seeds. Continue mixing well, to cover and allow to stand for 15 minutes. Stir for 15 more minutes or until poppies are intact. Serve chilled.
