1 cup butter
1/2 cup raisins
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 egg
1 cup white sugar
1/3 cup raisins
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
In a medium bowl, cream butter, brown sugar, baking powder and nutmeg until smooth. Mix eggs, raisins and white sugar into the creamed mixture. Fold egg mixture into the raisin mixture, then sprinkle with the raisins. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool for 5 minutes before removing from cookie sheets. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing from cookie sheets.
