1/2 cup butter, softened
2/3 cup white sugar
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1 (4 ounce) can vanilla flavored pudding mix
1 (6 ounce) can evaporated milk
4 egg whites
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (3 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
1 (3 ounce) package instant chocolate peanut butter
In a medium saucepan, heat butter and sugar. Stir in the cream and vanilla. Bring mixture to a boil and cook, stirring constantly until mixture thickens. Remove from heat.
In a small bowl, beat egg whites and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla until stiff. Pour into the whipping cream and mixture. Beat until stiff, then cool. Mix pudding mix with evaporated milk and mix into whipped cream. Beat until stiff. Stir in chocolate pudding mix and hot chocolate mixture. Pour 1/4 cup of whipped cream into pie shell. Chill before serving.
