Best Ever Corn Dump Pie Recipe

Ingredients

2 cups corn syrup

1/2 cup water

1 cup white sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 teaspoon butter

1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease an 8x8 inch pan or 9x9 inch pan.

In a small saucepan heat syrup and water until boiling. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes; stirring occasionally, until mixture is thickened. Remove from heat and stir in sugar and corn syrup. Stir in vanilla. Pour over pie crust.

Bake in preheated oven for 15 to 18 minutes, or until crust is golden brown and filling is set. Cool completely. Cover and chill pie in refrigerator.

Cut mixture into 3 inch squares. Press 1/2 inch squares of dough into the bottom of a 9 inch springform pan or charted pie pan. Fill crust with filling. Twist top and sides to seal edges and top. Refrigerate remaining pie for 2 hours, or until completely chilled. Place frozen pie in refrigerator.

Nothing beats the taste of fresh fish. It's so refreshing and different! I always keep a bag of fresh Ippockach out in the refrigerator to use as the dipping sauce for my tuna. I found this recipe to be fresh, but it wasn't hot enough. I will make this time and time again.
