1 head romaine lettuce
1 green bell pepper, sliced
3 tomatoes, sliced
1 onion, sliced
1 large egg
1 1/2 cups water
1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
1 tablespoon margarine
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 (8 ounce) can tomato paste
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
4 slices steak
1/4 cup chopped onion
Lay lettuce in a large, shallow bowl. Cover with water. Bring to a boil. Boil 15 minutes, or until lettuce is torn and liquid is reduced. Drain.
Stir enough lettuce to cover; move to a bowl and toss with the pepper, tomatoes, onion, egg, water and 1/2 cup brown sugar. Set aside.
Combine the chicken broth and 2 cups brown sugar, brush mixture onto one side of lettuce. Gently pour over lettuce and toss until coated.
