1 1/2 cups margarine
1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
2 eggs
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/8 cup butter, softened
4 cups diced honeyberries
2 tablespoons white sugar
1 cup applesauce
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour for rolling
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan.
In a large bowl, cream together margarine, brown sugar, eggs, flour, baking powder, nutmeg and butter until light and fluffy. Beat in honeyberries and sugar until incorporated. Combine brown sugar, applesauce, vanilla and cornstarch; stir well. Fold egg mixture into flour mixture. Spread into prepared pan.
Bake in the preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes, until toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean.
