1 cup fresh strawberries
1 cup butter
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons white sugar
1 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup vodka
3 tablespoons lemon juice
In a blender or food processor, puree the strawberries and butter. Place the flour, salt, sugar and white sugar in a small bowl. Mix in the vanilla and vodka. Blend until smooth, about 30 seconds. Stir in lemon juice.
Pour mixture into glass or plastic canning jars or bottles, and chill before serving.
I submitted this recipe many years back when I was first learning about the site. It is easy but requires some preparation. I used dried minced onion, others might find dill sprigs or fresh dill. Communicate well but not overwhelm.
