2 eggs
1/3 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup butter
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup chopped almonds
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup white sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour two 9x5 inch loaf pans.
In a large bowl, stir together eggs, milk, salt, vanilla, flour, baking soda and butter. Beat egg mixture into flour mixture. Stir in the walnuts, flour mixture and almonds. Beat together cream of tartar, vanilla and sugar. Gradually mix in flour mixture until just blended.
Pour batter into prepared pans. Bake in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into center of the cake comes out clean. Cool completely before removing from pans.
