1 pound lean ground beef
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 (3 ounce) can tomato paste
1 quart vegetable oil
5 medium tomatoes, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
1 cup chopped green bell pepper
1 cup chopped fresh mushrooms
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/8 teaspoon dried basil
1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, tomato sauce, tomato paste, vegetable oil, tomatoes, onion, green peppers, mushrooms, salt, oregano, basil and parsley. Mix well. Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours before serving.
