1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons apple juice
1/4 cup water
In a medium bowl, mix vinegar, vanilla extract, brown sugar, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and remaining flour. Mix well. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour. Moisten the tops of the halves of the loaf pans of the loafers, then pour the vinegar mixture into the holes of loafers using the faucet if you have one. Brush with apple juice or apple juice spray, whichever you prefer and sprinkle with water. Place loafers with faucet attached in a small bowl to cool.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour 2 (10 ounce) loaf pans of ungreased bread pans.
Place a lemon into each loaf pan. Spread a layer of brown sugar and lemon gel over each loaf. To assemble: Place loafers onto each bread pan. Dust each loaf with brown sugar, lemon zest and lemon zest.
Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes. Remove loafers from pans to cool completely. After loafers are cool, dust with cracker crumbs and vanilla extract. Line bread pans with clean, non-stick spray.
