2 cups oil for frying
8 short rib fillets (2 pounds)
1/2 cup fat free Italian-style dressing
1/4 cup vinegar
1 cup water
1 egg, beaten
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry fillets until golden brown. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Drain slowly, holding back about 1/2 cup oil. Remove from oil, and discard oil.
In a medium bowl, mix the Italian-style dressing, vinegar, water, egg and fish. Transfer to a large bowl and mash with a spoon. Pour mixture into prepared pan.
Fry fillets in oil until golden brown. Drain on the paper towels. Serve with salad dressing dressing.
