Chocolate Caramel Pie VI Recipe

Ingredients

2 maraschino cherries, peeled and seeded

1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch double crust pie

3 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate, chopped

2 tablespoons milk

2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

2 tablespoons butter

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Divide cherries into two halves and slice across. Place halves on a large baking sheet. Heat chocolate evenly in microwave oven.

Beat butter with lemon juice in small bowl until creamy. Stir in cocoa and sugar. Spread maraschino mixture into bottom of prepared pie crust.

Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes and serve hot cherries.
