Bacon Wrapped Swiss Peppers Recipe

Ingredients

1 pound Swiss or Italian sausage, sliced

1/2 teaspoon crushed garlic salt

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

1/4 teaspoon dried basil

3/4 cup chopped onion

4 slices bacon

1 cup mayonnaise

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions

Line a large baking sheet with foil.

Place sausage in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Drain from grease, crumble and set aside.

Mix garlic salt, oregano, basil, onion, bacon, mayonnaise and mozzarella cheese. Cook over medium heat until all ingredients are hot. Stirring constantly until well-combined.

Heat the mayonnaise and spread evenly on the foil, then place the bacon slices over the mayonnaise. Lay the wraps on top of the chicken, filling to within 1/4 inch of the edge of the foil, and seal edges with toothpicks.

Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 1 hour. Remove foil, and bake an additional 30 minutes, uncovered.
