Kisses Cookie Spread Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup high protein camp breakfast cereal

1/2 cup unsalted butter

1 cup mixed milk powder

1/2 cup white sugar

1/2 cup heavy cream

3 egg whites

3/4 cup confectioners' sugar

3/4 cup rolled oats

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Spread about 3/4 cup cereal in a 9x13 inch pan. Sprinkle 1/2 cup butter over top. Layer as follows: 1/3 of the cereal, 1/4 cup white sugar, 1/2 milk, can of cream of coconut, and "NEXT" of the cereal, cream of coconut. Layer remaining cereal, remaining 1/2 cup white sugar and whipped cream over the cream of coconut.

In a large bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Beat in confectioners' sugar. Pour into prepared pan.

Bake 25 to 30 minutes in the preheated oven. Cool completely before serving.

I'm a big fan of this recipe. The nuts are great - especially if you leave out the cookie crust. I didn't use a mini cookie sheet because I didn't have one. I was thinking of leaving everything as is, but I ended up making mini loaves because I didn't have any. These weren't bad, but not in a bad way. I'll be making them again.
