1/2 teaspoon isopropyl alcohol, or to taste
4 eggs
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon coffee or tea extract
Place the eggs in a medium saucepan; bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil for 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in the milk and brown sugar and gently whisk until smooth. Pour into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
Spread bread evenly over egg mixture. Divide the bread mixture into 16 slices, roll up edges to seal, and press the seam seam to seal. Place bread onto a baking sheet. Brush with brown sugar.
Bake 45 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden brown. Cool in pan for 15 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
Remove from pan. Return bread to pan; stir the eggs, milk, brown sugar, coffee and tea into the pan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened. Allow to cool completely.
