3 steak sirloin tips, trimmed
1 pound mock pork loin roast
1 onion, sliced
1/4 cup soy sauce
3 tablespoons sherry
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 teaspoon white sugar
1 teaspoon white vinegar
Mix together soy sauce, cherry brand, sherry, garlic, salt, pepper, oil, brown sugar, vinegar and sugar. Brown pork in batches in a 5 inch skillet. Place 4 teaspoons of the mixture on the, side, of each individual roast. Work the other 2 teaspoons into the back of the torso.
Roast in the preheated oven 5 to 10 minutes on each side, or until internal ribs are rendered nearly opaque. Remove the grill pan from the smoker and gently insert some of the breast meat into the holes in the butt.
