4 cups heavy cream
1 pound red wine
2/3 cup very cold water
2 teaspoons white sugar
1 tablespoon white vinegar
1 cup pitted dates
1/2 cup chopped pecans
Puree heavy cream and 2/3 cup cold water in a measuring cup. In a saucepan bring the mixture to a boil . Stir in sugar, water, vinegar and dates. Heat, but do not boil, until dates are tender- About 30 minutes. Stir in pecans. Serve immediately.
