1 (2 pound) loaf shaped biscuits
3/8 cup brown sugar
1 cup molasses
1 cup vodka
3/8 cup water
2 teaspoons lemon zest
1 teaspoon chicken bouillon granules
3/4 cup margarine, melted
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Cut the shaped biscuits into small pieces.
In a 2 quart saucepan, combine brown sugar, molasses, vodka, 3/8 cup water and lemon zest. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer 45 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in chicken bouillon cubes.
Place 8 (2 ounce) squares of dough adjacent to each other on uneven baking sheets and brush side and top with melted margarine.
Arrange biscuits in a single layer in the preheated oven, 8 inches apart.
Bake for 30 minutes in the preheated oven. Unwrap and cut each piece in half. Transfer from the baking sheets to cool slightly. When biscuits are cool, sprinkle with chopped cherries for garnish.
