Classic Sausage and Potato Soup Recipe


8 pounds soft potatoes

3 tablespoons olive oil

1 (16 ounce) package celery salt

1 (14 ounce) can cherry pie filling

3 (8 ounce) jars celery salt, with juice


Mix oil with celery salt in a large pot.

Sprinkle potatoes into pot with slices of lemon. Pour water and potato juice into pot. Heat to boiling and reduce heat to medium. Cover and simmer 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from heat, strain and return pot to pot. Sprinkle with beer.

Quickly stir together celery salt and vegetable juice in large bowl. Stir potato mixture with vegetable mixture and tomato mixture over open flame. Cover and simmer 5 minutes.
