1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup water
2 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup chopped candied cherries
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Grease cookie sheet.
To Make the Frosting: In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in water and eggs. Beat in vanilla. Combine walnuts and cherries, mix well. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheet. Cookies should be about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until light to medium brown. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
