4 large French russet potatoes, cut into 1/4 inch cubes
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
2 1/2 pounds Italian sausage
1 1/2 cups milk
6 pieces cream cheese, softened
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese or Monterey Jack cheese
1/4 cup chopped green onions
6 ounces sharp processed cheese food (such as processed cheese food, compact disk, or soup mix)
Place potatoes in large soup pot. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes. Stir in onion slices, sausage, milk, potatoes, green onion, cheese, and green onion. Simmer for 2 more minutes.
I was so excited to make this and was expecting so much more. Non of my guest liked it and they all tried it. To bland, the texture was off.Mostly my guest said it was just to bland they like the apple and the idea but it needed a lot more flavoring.
made this one yesterday to compare with a recipe I recently made for a chicken breast deep fried at the store. Both were good, but my husband said that the recipe he was looking for was "a bit far-fetched", and that it would probably be better suited for a steakhouse. He gave it a try anyway, and it was great! I don't know if the white chocolate chipsam (I skipped the orange chips) were the only addition he/she made, but i'm pretty sure it would have been better without them. I used a little garlic powder and salt, and this was still good. I would comment that I have made these before, and these are just as good. I made them exactly according to the recipe, and they were delicious. If I made them again, I would add more cheese, perhaps some mushroom soup, and at least a little chicken stock. These would be a
This soup turned out pretty good, I did add some chicken and celantro. I think made better with chicken. Let it steepan and the flavor of the spinach and breadcrumbs were a great help. I used 2 cups of cheese, plus 2 cups of sour cream. I used the chicken broth, because I didn't have sour cream.
