2 1/2 cups chocolate syrup
6 tablespoons light brown sugar
6 tablespoons brandy flavored extract
1 cup crushed M&M's
6 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup butter
1/4 cup confectioners' sugar
1 3/4 cups whole milk
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 cup dark rum flavoring
3 tablespoons light rum flavored extract
Preheat the oven to 275 degrees F (135 degrees C). Grease and flour two 8-inch round cake pans.
In a medium bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar and brandy extract until smooth. Beat in the flour, then mix in the chocolate syrup, chocolate chips and molasses. Beat in the melted butter, chocolate syrup and molasses. Stir in the flour mixture.
Pour batter into prepared pans. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow to cool for 10 minutes in the pan. Dribble mochi onto cake while still in liquid form; cool.
