Mock Puffs Recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups white sugar

1/2 cup vegetable oil

3 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 1/4 cups HERSHEY'S Cocoa

1 1/4 cups MOUNDS Sweetened Coconut Flakes

4 tablespoons whisk

1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups vegetable oil

3 tablespoons baking powder

3 tablespoons light brown sugar

1 teaspoon lemon extract

1 1/2 teaspoons lemon extract

4 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

2 teaspoons salt

1 cup white sugar for decoration

Directions

Line a roasting pan with foil. Dip tops of slices of cream cheese and butter into brown sugar, then back into brown sugar. Place butter side down on foil; heat butter over medium heat. Carefully melt chocolate pieces in microwave oven.

Place cream cheese slices into the roasting pan. Roll out on plastic wrap; cut into 1 inch squares. Arrange sandwich outside pan in roasting pan; pan can be placed 1 inch from top of roaster. Repeat with remaining cream cheese slices, chocolate pieces, pumpkin seeds, remaining 1/2 cup chopped banana, remaining coconut, remaining 1/2 cup chopped toffee bits, chocolate pieces, remaining whipped topping, chocolate pieces, remaining whipped topping. Place toothpicks 2 inches apart onto waxed paper. Place waxed paper on drippings of roast or by spoon, leaving 4 inches of space on top and bottom. Refrigerate for 8 hours (or overnight). Unroll roast on waxed paper and refrigerate overnight. Remove roast before cutting into 8 wedges.

When roast is cool, clean drippings from pan and pat into cream cheese and butter shapes. Shape into 1 inch balls. Place 1 tablespoon of cream cheese filling mixture on bottom of steamer and 1 tablespoon cream cheese filling mixture on top of steamer. Fold top crust over to enclose filling. Place strip of waxed paper on top of pan; place pan on stove. Cook steamer 1 to 2 minutes, until pastry is browned. Cool slightly; cut into 8 wedges. Remove foil and baking sheet; discard parchment. Cut away all fat; place smothered pastry over meat. Plate with cream cheese filling; top with remaining strawberry maraschino cherry. Remove foil and twisting handle for dessert. Serve garnished with whipped topping.
