1 cup light brown sugar
1 cup butter
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 cup butter, softened
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups marshmallow creme
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
1/2 cup milk, or to cover
To Make Bonbons: In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and butter until smooth. Stir in eggs. Sift together the brown sugar mixture, eggs, and vanilla. Stir to coat. Fold in flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Stir into the cake batter, then spread with marshmallow creme mixture.
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 30 to 40 minutes in the preheated oven. Let cool completely before frosting with confectioners' sugar and milk.
