Easy Vanilla Meringue Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup butter

1 cup white sugar

3 eggs

3 cups milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/2 cup confectioners' sugar

1/2 cup chopped pecans

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour two 8-inch pans.

In a large saucepan, cream butter, sugar, eggs, milk and vanilla until light and fluffy. Beat in flour, baking soda, salt, nutmeg, confectioners' sugar and pecans.

Pour mixture into prepared pans.

Bake in preheated oven for 25 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into center of each pan comes out clean. Cool in pan on rack of oven rack.
