3 eggs
2 cups milk
3 quarts water
1 cup butter
1/4 cup white sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 teaspoons banana extract
2 cups margarine, melted
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
1 yellow lemon, juiced
1 cup strawberries, sliced
1 cup sliced almonds
2 cups sliced strawberries
1 cup chopped walnuts
Beat eggs, milk, water, butter and sugar in small bowl; mix well. Preheat oven to 500 degrees F (200 degrees C).
Stir margarine, citrus zest, lemon juice and vanilla into egg mixture; slowly mix until well mixed. Transfer mixture to loaf pan. Cover tightly with aluminum foil; bake in preheated oven for 1 hour. Remove loaf from oven; let cool completely. Beat margarine, sugar and lemon zest in small bowl until well blended. Add banana juice, lemon zest and seasonings. Transfer mixture into loaf pan; bake 45 minutes or until loaf is easy to cut into squares. Cool completely; remove foil.
Place sliced strawberries in loaf pan; cool completely. Transfer to loaf pan; cover tightly with aluminum foil. Repeat with remaining strawberries. Cover; refrigerate overnight. Serve warm. Garnish with slices of almonds and sliced strawberry slices.
