Ten Minute Apple Fritters Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup butter

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

2 cups white sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 1/2 cup vegetable oil

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1 cup confectioners' sugar for dusting

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour two 9 inch round pans. Lightly spray a medium skillet with cooking spray.

To Make Filling: In a large bowl, cream together butter, salt, pepper, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, flour and 1 cup flour until smooth. Stir in the oil and baking soda; mix until the batter is stiff and well mixed. Stir in the 2 cups of flour and oil, then mix into the creamed mixture. Divide the batter between the prepared pans, filling each half of the pan with about 1/2 cup of filling.

To Make the Dipping Sauce: In a large saucepan, combine 2 cups of cream cheese, 2 tablespoons cream of tartar, 2 teaspoons orange extract, 2 cups orange juice, 2 cups water and 1 cube of ice cream. Bring the mixture to a low heat and bring to a boil. Cover the pan and simmer for 20 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool for a couple minutes.

Dip fritters in the dipping sauce, then place onto the prepared pans using 1/2 tablespoon of filling per fritter. Drizzle the butter mixture over the fritters. Dust fritters with confectioners' sugar before serving.
