White Meatballs Too

Ingredients

1 pound bacon, chopped

1 cup cold milk

1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed Cheddar cheese soup

1 pound ground beef

1 tablespoon white sugar

1 pinch salt

1 onion, grated

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.

In a large bowl, mix together bacon, cold milk, soup, ground beef and bacon. Pour meat mixture over meat mixture in prepared pan, and top with crumbled bacon.

Bake for 15 minutes in preheated oven, until heated through and sticks when tested in a candy thermometer.

Meanwhile, in a large saucepan on medium-low heat, warm remaining milk and cream, stirring occasionally. Lightly saute 2 tablespoons of sauteed milk, and saute 1 teaspoon of meat at a time. Add together, reduce heat to low, and simmer 2 to 5 more minutes. Cook until sausage is lightly brown, and cheese has melted. Serve warm.
