1 (15 ounce) can evaporated milk
1/3 cup butter, divided
1 cup white sugar
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 box orange flavored Jell-O
1 cup boiling water
1 cup chopped pecans
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
In a large bowl, mix the evaporated milk, butter, sugar, vanilla and orange gelatin. Stir until smooth. Pour into a 9x13 inch pan or pan of waxed paper.
Bake in preheated oven until cookies are set, about 4 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely.
In a large saucepan over medium heat, bring boiling water to a boil. Stirring constantly, cook sugar and gelatin over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is thickened. Remove from heat. Pour into dough-lined muffin tin or pan.
Spread the orange juice in the bottom of each muffin cup and bowl. Place orange filling at top.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes in the preheated oven, until filling is set and sugar glides easily onto top. Cool completely before removing from pan.
