Slow Cooker Ranch Dipping Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup Italian-style salad dressing

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

6 fluid ounces cider

2 cups water

1 large yellow onion, chopped

1 (8 ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained

1 (3 ounce) package dry Ranch-style dressing mix

1 (10 ounce) can sliced fresh mushrooms, drained

1 (10 ounce) can diced tomatoes with green chile peppers

1 (1.5 ounce) package dry Dipping Sauce mix

1 lime, sliced

Directions

Dissolve Italian-style salad dressing in brown sugar, mixing thoroughly. Pour into slow cooker; stir in vinegar. Cover, and cook on low for 4 hours. Stir in brown sugar while cooking.

Stir in cider and water. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently. Reduce heat to low; cover, reduce heat to low. Cook 10 hours or overnight.

Stir in green chile peppers, mushrooms, yellow onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, and vinegar. Cover, and simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve over white rice or cornbread.
