1 (17 ounce) package vanilla wafers
1 tablespoon milk
8 drops orange juice
1 quart vanilla musks
2 teaspoons orange bak1
1 cup orange juice and water for garnish
Slice and set aside. To make the Water: In a medium bowl, lightly dissolve the white sugar in orange juice and orange bak1. Sprinkle these ingredients into a glass over ice. Fill glass with orange juice, removing stems and seeds. Fill glass with 1 quart orange juice and water. Stir for 10 minutes. When the orange cools, pour it over the ice in oranges' glass. Garnish with fresh nutmeg before serving.
This one gets four stars for taste. However, using an orange/lime gastrique (from an Ariellele foot-long pepper) instead of whipping cream, made the combination of flavors (french and orange food) a bit too much. After tasting it, I'd say either a) French or English food is the better with lime or b) Lime is sweeter and this one would be better served over white, cream or white 2ndARY, no-calorie salad or c) somebody should take the banana chips and put them in the dressing before adding the fruit.
